Press preview for film <Grow: Infinite’s Real Youth Life> was held at CGV Theater in Seongdong District, Seoul on December 1. Kim Sungkyu, Jang Dongwoo, Nam Woohyun, Hoya, Lee Sungyeol, L, Lee Sungjong and director Kim Jin-soo participated.
Director Kim Jin-soo stated, “There was no scenario. We shot whole part without it. We also avoided telling story of huge success they got abroad. We only focused on their honest talk about their life as a member of boy band.
He added, “There is a lot that we didn’t put in the film. Actually, I didn’t film them arguing and crying off the stage because it was too sensitive. Honestly, I felt sorry that I didn’t put it because I personally thought they could grow more from that argue.”
Sungyeol said communicating with fans was the most important thing to him.
In fact, director Kim Jin-soo and Infinite have special relation. They have been close since Infinite debuted in M.net’s variety show <Infinite! You Are My Oppa>. Kim Jin-soo was the producer of the program.
Kim Jin-soo said, “I have been with them since their debut.”
Hoya said, “We rode a bike at night in Paris. We are really close. He also lives next to my house. He sometimes buys me Soju even thought he doesn’t make a lot of money,” causing a round of laughter.
When asked about the most memorable city during world tour, Sungkyu said, “When we almost finished world tour, we went clubbing all together. We all had fun, and I will never forget it.”
L cries in the film. What happened to him?
Sungjong said, “I was so happy while I stayed in Bangkok, Thailand. I swam in a pool in a hotel, and I won’t forget it. I want to go back there again with members.”
Sungyeol said, “I couldn’t forget Dubai. We had made many good memories there. When I am on stage, I always make eye contact with my fans. But, I couldn’t in Dubai because they all wore hijab.”
Lastly, director said, “I think this film is for not only Infinite’s fans but for people in their twenties and thirties. I hope many people to see how much effort members of Infinite put to be a great musician.”
Hoya, “I have appeared in over 5 reality programs so far. This film is the most authentic reality film. We even fought and argued during shooting. We didn’t care about camera. Also, this is good film for men and women of all ages and both gender.”
In the film <Grow: Infinite’s Real Youth Life>, Infinite will show their private appearance during the world tour. They will also honestly talk about their life as a member of boy band including their agony and stories behind the stages.
